are rentals included with my lesson? where and when can i pick them up?

Rentals are not included with lessons. All rental equipment must be picked up and by rights fitted

prior to your lesson start time

. Steamboat Sports lease shops open at 7:30am, but give up fittings starting after 3:00pm the night anterior to schedule rental start date. rental shop class is available inside glad Camp for Happy Camp lessons and Whippersnappers.

Please design adequate prison term to pick up and fit your rental equipment in promote. We recommend scheduling a rental fit time appointment for the nox prior to your lesson date. Guests without an advance lease meet appointment or “ walk-ins ” are not guaranteed contiguous rental servicing and should expect longer wait times. note : One child 12 or under rents free with one nonrecreational adult rental of 5 or more days.

FIT TIME APPOINTMENT AND RENTAL INFORMATION

WILL I STILL BE ABLE TO PURCHASE DAY-OF LESSONS ON-SITE ?

It is highly recommended to book lessons as far in advance as possible due to limited capacity.

IS LUNCH INCLUDED WITH MY LESSON ?

Lunch is not included with adult group lessons or Private lessons. Lunch is included for Happy Camp lessons and childcare, kids and teens group lessons, and Signature 5/Ski Weeks.

IS LIFT ACCESS INCLUDED WITH MY LESSON ?

Lift access is required and NOT included with lessons, except for Happy Camp lessons and during the duration of Whippersnapper 1 hour private lessons only. If you are a pass holder you do not need additional lift access/tickets. If you are a non-pass holder, choose ‘add-on lift ticket’ or other lift ticket option during the booking process. For best pricing, purchase at least 7 days in advance to receive Advance Purchase pricing.

HOW WILL MY LESSON BE GROUPED ?

Steamboats group lessons are tailored specifically for educational needs of the age and skill level to maximize time on the snow. Group sizes vary depending on the ability. Private lessons are groups of to 5 of your choosing, but must be of similar skill level and type (ski or snowboard).

What are the example times ?

We ask that guests please arrive 15 minutes prior to lesson beginning time, to allow adequate time for group organization

Adult Group Lessons: 9:30am – 3:00pm
Kids & Teens Group Lessons: 9:00am-3:00pm


Happy Camp Lessons & Childcare: Opens at 8:15am for drop off, Lesson Start: 9:00am, Pick Up: 3:00pm
Whippersnappers (1hr Private for skiers and riders age 2 – 4 yrs): 9:00am, 10:30am, 12:30pm or 2:00pm
Private Lessons:

All Day : 9:00am – 4:00pm

Half Day AM : 8:30am – 11:30am

Half Day PM : 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Signature 5 & Ski Weeks : 8:30am – 2:30pm

What are the deposit and cancelation policies?

Lesson reservations are paid in fully at time of book and are nonrefundable. If you have tested positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of your arrival please cry Steamboat Central Reservations at 800-922-2722 for aid.

Do I have to wear a helmet ?

Helmets are required for all SnowSports Lesson participants, ages 17 and under. Helmets are strongly recommended while skiing or riding as they may make a difference in reducing and/or preventing some types of head injuries. We also highly encourage students in our Adult SnowSports Lessons to wear helmets.

Make sure the helmet you wear fits properly and has not been damaged. Bear in mind a helmet will not prevent all head injuries and you must always ski/ride in control as part of Your Responsibility Code. If you need a helmet, there are rental helmets available at our
