Reading: Starburst Wrapper Bracelet Tutorial
Have you been wondering how to make the perplex bracelets from Starburst wrappers ? A childlike fold method acting, plus some finish tips, will help you make your very own Starburst watchband. It looks like a lot of steps, but after you ’ ve made a few links you ’ ll have the pen up method acting memorized. The average watchband takes 30-36 Starburst wrappers, so save up ! Ask friends to unwrap cautiously and “ donate ”, and to avoid candy binges and carbohydrate highs, unwrap all your Starbursts and save them in a ziploc bag for late. You can save money by buying Starbursts in bulk from Amazon .
If you ’ re apt, you can make this watchband from any rectangular wrapping : dum dum wrappers, tootsie roll wrappers, most gum wrappers, now and laters… be creative, there are lots of options !
Keep in beware that when you have finished, you need the bracelet to be big adequate to slide on and off your wrist without excessively much trouble oneself. Because of the fold method, the watchband will stretch slenderly, so this shouldn ’ t be much of a problem.., but be careful. This is the only tutorial that contains the ending method that blends in with the pillow of the watchband ; it ’ second identical slippery but wholly feasible .

Take your first wrapper… and pass it over.
I know, it ’ sulfur slippery .
Fold ( hot frank ) one side in to the center point .
Fold ( hot frump ) the other side to the halfway point .
Next, fold ( hot chase ) the whole thing in half so the raw edges you good folded are on the inwardly fold .
Fold ( hot andiron ) in one-half again .
Fold ( hamburger ) in half .
Fold ( ground beef ) one side to the center decimal point .
Fold ( ground beef ) the other side to the center period. Steps 1-8 give 1 completed link .
repeat steps 1-8 with the following negligee .
Insert points 1 and 2 into slots A and B, so it looks like this :
And pull it through .
Continue making links ( steps 1-8 ) and adding them on ( steps 9 & 10 ) …
… until you begin to build up a chain .
Once you have reached the craved length… this is where it gets slippery .
Make one more link the same direction as the others ( steps 1-8 ), but then unfold the concluding two folds. Insert these raw edges into the same spots in the “ V ” .
Pull the two ends of the bracelet close together, and hold the edges of your long “ V ” over both edges of the end of the other side .
Insert the raw edges into the first gear wrapping. You ’ re doing the same thing we ’ ve been doing, but backwards. That ’ s the easiest room to think about it. It ’ randomness hard to photograph and explain, but if you ’ rhenium making it look like all the other links, you ’ re doing it right .
Pull ends through until you reach the original fold point, and tuck the raw edges into the previous negligee, so it looks just like the other wrappers in the chain.
tip! At this point, I find it helpful to use a paper clip or like detail to push the wrappers through. This is the trickiest part, and will require a bite of fiddle .
And you ’ re done ! Congratulations !
