Meggan Freeland

Dr. Meggan Freeland
Dr. Meggan Freeland graduated from Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She besides completed a Bachelor ’ s of Animal Science and is finishing her Master ’ south in Food Safety at MSU. She grew up on her syndicate grow in Parma, MI and was active in 4-H. She ran on the MSU cross country and track teams and worked as an AI technician for a cattle genetics ship’s company for 2 years anterior to veterinarian school .
Dr. Meggan ’ s special interests include advanced generative techniques, sonography, small ruminant medicine, and production animal herd health. In her spare fourth dimension she and her fiancé Brent operate on a 150 head ABGA registered Boer capricorn ruck, attend capricorn shows, and volunteer with local 4-H programs. She besides enjoys running and hiking with her 4 dogs .

Therese Burns

Dr. Burns attended Michigan State University, where she earned a bachelor ’ s degree in Animal Science, and her doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She began working at Southkent Veterinary Hospital soon after graduation in 1999 and has been there ever since. She primitively wanted to work with farm animals, but soon began practicing companion animal medicate and continued on with that. She besides works with pocket pets ( rats, mouse, guinea pigs ) and rabbits. She enjoys voiced tissue operation and performs many procedures weekly .
She has been a member of the West Michigan Veterinary Medical Association since graduation and was on the board of directors for 3 years, working her way up to President. She has besides maintained membership with the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association since 1999. She was on the circuit board of directors for 9 years, which included 5 years on the executive committee, and was President of the department of state association in 2014 .
personally, she has 3 sons, 1 daughter, 2 daughter-in-law ’ south and a granddaughter. She enjoys 2 dogs at base ampere well, but has had cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, aquarium fish, parakeets, a sunbird, rabbits, ducks, chickens, turkeys, deer, cows, pigs, horses and sheep .

Rebecca Kursch

Dr. Becca Kursch grew up in Webberville, MI, a little town near Lansing. From an early senesce she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. She attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate studies and went on to attend Michigan State ’ s College of Veterinary Medicine .
After graduating from vet school Dr. Kursch started her career at Southkent Veterinary Hospital in 2005. After 2 years she decided to explore other opportunities in the veterinary plain. She returned to us in 2017 and is now one of our practice owners. Dr. Kursch has a firm interest in animal demeanor, soft tissue surgery, and contraceptive medicate.

Dr. Kursch and her conserve Andy have 4 children – Leyna, Nora, Thomas, and Hayden. They have 2 cats, George and Shiny, a golden retriever named Patience, an english Setter named Sven, 2 positron emission tomography rats, Cuddles and Scamper, and a twelve chickens. If she has any fifth wheel time Dr. Kursch loves to read, run, and spend time outside with her class .

Allison Koetsier

Dr. Koetsier started with Southkent Veterinary in. Working share time, she was able to develop a recess for herself in the veterinarian dental field. She is now working primarily with our in-house dental team to help inform and educate our clients on the importance of alveolar consonant hygiene in animals ! Allison performs everyday dental procedures, radiogram and dental surgery on dogs and cats, Monday through Thursday each workweek. She has stepped up the home plate, and participated in 100 ’ south of hours of ongoing education, seminars and hands on learning labs to bring Southkent ’ s Veterinary Dental platform improving to high level diligence standards .

Julie Cohen

Dr. Julie Cohen
Dr. Cohen attended Ferris State University for her undergraduate studies. She earned her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, and completed her clinical rotations at Iowa State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Cohen ’ s master interests include dentistry, behavior, and ophthalmology. Dr. Cohen lives with her Caribbean andiron, Peach, and her young Golden Doodle, Olive. She enjoys riding her horse, Bo, hiking with the dogs, running, float, and spend meter with her kin. Dr. Cohen came to SKVH from Ann Arbor, and is excited to join the SKVH team. She looks forward to meeting her new patients and clients !

Amy Green

Dr. Amy Green

Dr. Amy Green grew up in Detroit, Michigan as a young daughter she dreamed of being a veterinarian to help animals. Her dream star her to Michigan State University where she completed her undergraduate, Masters and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She joined Southkent Veterinary Hospital in 2006 in Caledonia as an Associate Veterinarian. In 2010 she became one of the partners of Southkent Veterinary Hospital. She has been practicing at the Southkent Byron Center location since 2017 .
Dr. Green loves all animals specially her own, she has two cats who are brothers named Tom and Bebop. Outside of work most of her meter is spent in the cable car with her Husband Andy driving to whatever consequence her two boys Bryce and Brody have that day. In the event she does have some down time she enjoys puzzles, take and travel .

Lori Dehlinger

Dr. Lori Dehlinger
Dr. Dehlinger knew at age 8 she wanted to be a veterinarian. Her ambition took her to Michigan State University where she graduated with high Honors in 2000. She began her career at the Caledonia branch of SKVH concisely after graduation. In 2009, she then moved to our Byron Center location. She became a partner at SKVH in 2017. Her favorite thing about Veterinary medicine is the new and different challenges it presents day by day. She has 3 dogs : a long-haired miniature dachshund named Farley, and 2 rescue dogs- a beagle shuffle named Prim and a Pitbull desegregate named Clarabelle. In summation to her dogs, she has 2 hooded rats- Peppa and Dinosaur .
In her spare clock, Dr. Dehlinger enjoys spend meter with her family, gardening, and learn .

Anna Gall

Dr. Anna Gall
Purdue University 1987
Dr. Gall has been practicing at Southkent Byron Center for years. Anna brings know and cognition to the practice that only years of experience can offer. Dr. Gall works entirely with our scheduled clients to create the best experience and treatment results possible. She is dedicated to her clients because of her love for animals .

Nicole Shear

Dr. Nicole Shear
Michigan State University 2010
Dr. Shear started with Southkent right after gradation and jumped in with two feet ! Over the years she has taken some time off for her family, but always returns spinal column quick to rock and roll ! Nikki enjoys meeting new clients, and solving problems. Dr. Shear does surgery american samoa well as minor companion animal wish and treatments .
